Hybrid fiber coaxial cable access (HFC) technology is a high-speed Internet access technology developed on the basis of existing coax cables. HFC devices will firstly be installed in neighborhood(curbside installed) to convert between optical and electrical signals, and transfer the electrical signals to homes using existing cables so that no additional wires installations needed.
